I just received this toaster yesterday. I purchased it for my desk at work so I could do english muffins and toast and such. Well my new 4 slice toaster is really a two slice toaster in disguise. The right side does not work at all. The left side has to be set to fairly dark to get any significant browning. It is still functional as a two slice toaster as long as you don't want dark toast (luckily I don't). I should really ship it back but as I said it is still functional and don't really want to take the time and hassel of shipping. As it is not a very expensive item I suppose I will live with it. But I would highly recommend NOT buying it. As some has said that theirs works fine and this doesn't apparently the Toastmaster company has very poor quality control.

I've owned this toaster for a year and a half, using 3+ times per week with no problems. It toasts consistently and is easy to clean. The slots are even wide enough to toast bagels and thick-sliced bread.

After owning for one week and using only about 15 times it no longer holds the toast down, and is therefore completely unusable. Honestly, who would expect that nowdays you'd have to research before you bought a toaster? It's a TOASTER for crying out loud! How hard is it to make a toaster? Definitely stay away from ALL toastmaster products. Any company with a complete lack of product testing is bound to have other products that are just as bad as this worthless toaster.

I have had 3 different Toastmasters & 2 out of three are bad toasters I started with a two slice toaster & it went out after a lot of use & about 7 years I thought it was a good toaster so when it went out I went out & bought a new Toastmaster cause I had good luck with the first one. When I bought the second one I again bought a two slice toaster it would not cook the toast right & it took for ever to get two slices of toast out of it so after two years I went out & bought a 4 slice toaster & its terrible the one side takes about 5 mins to cook the toast & the other side burns the toast yes they both have their owne settings one you have to have on dardest & it might brown the toast ok & that is the side that takes about 5 min to cook & the other one you might get ok toast out of it the first time & the setting is set real low but when you try to use it again I will burn the toast. So I have not been happy with toastmaster for a long time & would not tell anyone to get that brand. Thank you, Very Up set.

I was reading reviews before shopping for a toast oven and remembered reading the one about the annoying beeping sounds. I could not remember though which model it was when shopping. I ended up purchasing the Delonghi DO400 and was excited to try it out. I plugged it in and then remembered it was the one with the loud beeps. Well after I came to my senses I realized that it was no louder then my microwave beeping or oven timer. It also was very easy to adjust the toaster level from defaut L4 to L1, seriously easy as 1,2,3. I felt compelled to let people know this, because that video demonstrating the use and loudness is really a little dramatic. It is a very nice looking oven, easy to use and I am happy I made the purchase.

I bought this oven because DeLonghi products have been higher quality and better performing that the Chinese junk appliances everyone else is offering. A big disappointment. The digital controls are noisy and loud. I really don't need another clock to reset in my kitchen. Making a simple slice of toast requires remembering the programming sequence and resetting the digital controls. Why can't I get one slice of toast with one push of a button like my 1973 GE Toaster Oven? Baking and Broiling functions work well, but also require reprogramming for each use. Very user unfriendly! The oven gets dangerously hot in operation. Putting it underneath a cabinet looks to me like a recipe for a kitchen fire. On a kitchen counter, it's an invitation to a serious burn. If you have small children, I'd advise you not to get this unit, unless you like late night trips to the emergency room with a young child with a third degree burn. Whoever designed this abortion had obviously never cooked dinner for a hungry two year old, or even made himself a piece of toast.

WHY does this thing have to make such loud sounds?? You have to press buttons 4 times to make toast, and at the end there are 3 more loud beeps. Kinda like a squeal. So if you want to get up early and have toast, this could wake other people in the house especially if you are in an apartment. I'm sorry I threw away the box or I would return it.

I originally ordered this toaster oven in May 2009. It is now the end of June and I'm on my third oven. I sent back the first one because the LED display light stopped working. The oven worked fine. The second oven stopped working after I tried to broil pork chops. It just stopped. POOF gone. I called Amazon they said they would replace or refund. Since I really like this oven I ask for a replacement. So far so good but it's only been 1 day. I am hopeful this one will be a good one.

The oven gets very hot. I've burned my arm a few times on the oven door, so be careful when removing food.

I really like the style of the oven, the size and the ease of use.

I think it is over priced for what you are getting or the quality doesn't reflect the price.

However; I am very happy with Amazon Customer Service Department. They are very helpful and courteous. I love shopping with Amazon for this reason.
