We bought our Toaster Oven at Walmart, Kelowna, BC approximately 6 months ago (cannot locate out receipt for confirmation). Right from the get-go it never toasted well (we would have to put the setting on the darkest and then run our bread throught TWICE. Even then it would just get hard and dry rather than toasted). Now it doesn't even warm up. First the bottom element went, now both are gone. We are very disappointed in our purchase. We thought with a name like Proctor Silex we were buying a quality product, one that would last AT LEAST a year! We paid good money, thinking if we bought a brand name product it would be worth the extra few dollars. WRONG.

If I had read the first review I probably wouldn't have bought this oven and would have missed out on a nice one. I've had no problem with the knobs or the markings. The door fits tightly and the full glass makes it easy to see the food cooking. The rotisserie turns evenly and it is not loud like the ones I've had before. For the price it is a good oven. I paid a little more for one then the price here, at a restaurant supply house. Many food vendors use this model. It bakes my pies, biscuits, and casseroles. It rotisseries my chicken, ribs, hot dogs, and roasts. The oven capacity is much bigger than it looks, and my round pizza stone fits. The top heating/steaming tray steams veggies while the oven bakes. I make yogurt in it twice a week as it holds the low temp needed for as long as needed. I'm sure I could buy a better counter top oven but I have no regrets buying this one.

Don't be fooled by all the bells and whistles on this oven like I was. Sure it does a lot of stuff (or at least it says it does) but that doesn't mean it does them well. First, the unit is very lightweight (should have been clue #1). The knobs turn very loosely and are not well marked. The temperature knob is not marked in logical increments; you can't tell where 350° is to save your life! The timing knob is also not well mrked; you don't know if you are setting it for 8 minutes or 12 minutes. I only made toast 2 or 3 times and just had to stand and watch it until it was the way I wanted it and then take it out and shut the timer off. At least shutting the timer off does turn the oven off which I hear does not happen with some ovens and which is why I give it one star. However, I shipped it back to Amazon and ordered something else. I would have expected something like what I got if I had bought it at Wal Mart for $19.99 but not for the price I paid.

I liked this pan because it was a good size for two people. However, I did not like it's nonstick properties, or rather lack thereof. I had to soak and scrub, and soak and scrub, every time I used it and it was still dirty! So, I've been hating it, but trying not to throw it away. The pan underneath had some kind coating that been slowly peeling off. I'm glad I don't use that for cooking. Finally I cooked a meal that I could not get off and that was that, into the trash it went.

I had looked a several web sites for a broiler pan that was dishwasher-safe. Almost all of them had small broiler pans, but they were labeled
"hand wash". The one that I ordered from Amazon was "dishwasher safe".
I followed the direction for care. It was amazing!! All residue washes off readily by hand; therefore no need for the dishwasher. Following the directions for treating the pan before use really works!! I am very pleased with my purchase. V. Gage

We were looking for a broiler pan a) small enough to soak in the sink and b) easy to clean. This product is both, although I cannot quite get the top half to lie flat in the bottom of our sink. That is a moot point, though, because nothing has stuck to it so far... Materials and construction are top of the line. The bottom half is also non-stick and can be used as a shallow baking pan. We are very pleased with this pan and wish we had known about it earlier.

I bought one of these a couple of years ago and I'm buying a new one. It isn't as non-stick as it should be and it isn't all that easy to clean. But it's small and a heck of a lot easier to clean than those monstrosities that come with most stoves. Yes, it could have more drainage holes, but the deep groves help keep fat from the food. All in all, this is a fair product.

I just bought this thing and it is horrible. It barely toasts bread and leaves one burnt grill mark on the bread while the rest of it isn't even toasted. The worst part about it is that it makes the bread smell like aluminum and I believe it is unsanitary.

This clay oven is helpful with small polymer clay crafts. The height is not conducive for larger pieces as there are about 5 inches of safe cooking space inside the oven.
It does what it says it can and does it pretty well. I have no noticable hot or cold spots and nothing has burnt.
In hindsight, I am not sure what the difference is between this product and a traditional toaster oven. They seem identical in design and function.

First of all, this oven is NOT a toy !!
It's a perfect addition for your Craft projects, Clay project and more...
No worries about having your projects overcooked.
The only complain i have it's hard to set the right temperature as there is no detail mark around the thermostat.
You will need to buy one to place inside to be sure you set the right temperature. I found a cheap one and works well like that.
I'm really happy with that purchase.

I dont recommend this oven to anyone who is a serious p.c. artist. The temp. and time increments are not p.c. compatible,in fact, theyre ridiculous! It took me all day to find 275 degrees! The bottom cleaning door (are we making toast)???? is loose and gaps and lets heat out, hence it takes much longer than the estimated 20 minutes to heat up. PASS THIS UP!

This oven is a huge improvement over conventional toaster ovens if that's what you've been using to bake polymer clay. In fact, I bet a lot of people who've had unsatisfactory or disappointing results from polymer clay would have much better success using this oven. First, it doesn't get hot enough to create toxic fumes from the clay. It preheats very quickly, unlike conventional toaster ovens, which waste a lot of energy. I'm very satisfied with this item, and the Amaco bead rack fits inside perfectly. Since I got this just before Christmas, my work has improved tremendously, and I'm getting effects I've been trying to achieve for ten years. Love it.

I hate that the timer button is the on/off button, but I use it as an of/off button and not primarily as a timer, even though I've never had a problem with it getting stuck. Also, it heats up fast, so I set the knob a little past 20 and I can pretty much leave my work in there and go about my business. I'm stuck in Iraq so I love the small size and I like the pieces that I have made thus far, although I did overcook a batch or too. I use it all the time now and I'm very happy with it for price and for availability.

I had the oven and mount and when it was dc'd had to find another (backup). It is perfect for toasting and reheating or as an extra small oven. Like it under the cupboard so I still have the counter top surface available.

This item is useful only if you are able to find a toaster oven that works for it. ANd expect that search to be hard-- long, frustrating, and almost impossible.
Then try to mount the hood and connect the toaster oven without adequate instructions. It is again a huge and frustrating task. I had to use a dremel tool to take off two flanges that were in the way and no explanation for their use.

I'm VERY bummed that they don't make the spacesaver toaster ovens anymore. We love ours so much that we bought one for a friend who was getting married and for my parents. I purchased the mounting hood for my father for Christmas. It is now 4 months later and we cannot find a B&D oven to fit it. The hood will only fit models TRO1000 - TRO4000 but they cannot be found anywhere. The hood is useless without the oven
