Actually the exterior of this toaster oven is hot but it's OK for me. The temperature is not accurate neither. I have to cut it down about 35 degree and the cooking time should be cut 10-25 min. if I use the "bake&fan" function. There is no timer for auto stop.
After all these, it can bake nice pizza and bread from my home-make dough. It can reheat any leftover. It can bake almost everything better than my big GE oven.
Once I mistakenly baked 6 cups dough of bread and it came out so nice that I keep baking bread in this little oven. Of course, I know I 'd better to do the 4 cups dough. Since the bake time cut down so much with the convection function.....it cooks so fast and use much less electric energy. The most important thing is that the bread taste so good! A bit crust outside and soft well done inside.
I never use this for toaster since I have a toaster already. I only use this one for slices bread top with the cheese and ham. It is great.
For the meat and fish baking, it bake evenly too.
If it is not hot surface, I will give this toaster oven 5 stars. I know most toaster ovens normally have hot surface. So I don't really complain that much. [...]....so the price is even lower than I asked for. Very good deal for it can do so much! Now I hope it can last long for I use it everyday.

My wife is very pleased with this Toaster Oven. It works well and replaces an oven that we didn't like. The rounded area in the rear of the oven allows you to place a round dish inside and shut the door. A+++++

Caution: Safety Hazard!
While I liked all of the features of this oven it has a significant problem. The guides for the wire rack and bake pan are only at the front and back sides of the oven. Consequently, when you pull the rack out slightly it has a strong tendency to tip forward or backwards which would cause hot liquid to spill back into the oven or forward on the users hands. As much as I like this toaster oven for it's features it's being returned.

On the positive side: it looks nice; it's large enough to cook a small pizza. Things I don't like about it include: making toast takes forever; in order to bake something for longer than 12-15 minutes, you have to keep turning the bottom (toast color)knob to keep the oven on. I have had better luck with smaller, less expensive toaster ovens.

I had never owned a toaster oven before, but was told how great they are so I bought this at Macy's spring 2008. Works great. Haven't used rotisserie yet, but that's not why I bought it. I just wanted something that would cook relatively evenly smaller amounts of food, toast, etc. Have made toast & salmon on the broiler pan many times. They are great. I prefer the dials as opposed to digital, I feel it's less likely to break. HOWEVER, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the timer dial broke after 8-9 months! I don't know what happened. I called DeLonghi and my only option to have it fixed under warranty was to ship it to Indianapolis. So I took it back to Macys on the chance they might have mercy on me and exchange it for a new one. I was willing to believe this was just a fluke. They were very nice and exchanged with me because they did have one in stock, but informed me that if it happens again, I should deal with it myself. That was 3 months ago. All is well.
