"Owner of every Kitchen Aid product made" 2009-08-14
By Ellie Mavrakis
I have never posted a review before, mainly because I never have a major issue with any product I buy. I read all of the reviews posted on this site (and others), before deciding to buy this oven. They were mixed, but since I own every kitchen aid product made (in red), from appliances to gadgets, and have been thrilled with all of them. So I bought it. Since it arrived it has been nothing but problems. Besides the fact that it is huge on the counter, but holds very little, and that the plastic coated front slid off the metal oven within a few days, it will not cook anything properly. I have preheated like the instructions said, I have cooked without preheating, I have cooked at a high temperature and a lower one, but this thing will not work properly. the food in the front cooks fine, the food in the middle and back burns. God forbid you try to cook something that takes up 1/2 the oven, it comes out 1/2 burnt and 1/2 raw. I havent been able to do anything with it from bake cookies to toast bread to heat up cold pizza. I will be contacting kitchen aid about this as well. If you are debating this, just say no...

"Poor Quality - not worth the Kitchenaid premium..." 2009-08-13
By C. Fu (NJ)
I bought this oven at Bed bath and Beyond Last Oct. (2008) for its appearance and the Kitchenaid brand. But it died last week (Aug 2009) for only light use. I have used several toaser ovens in the past and none of them died abruptly like this. The reason I replaced each of them was that they looked too old and too dirty. I can not imagine a solid brand like Kitchenaid (I have its full size food processor, mixer, dishwasher, etc) would make this kind of stuff to ruin its reputation... Anyway. I replaced this one with a Cuisinart covection oven. Looks great and works ok so far (only for a week). And the best is that Cuisinart carries 3-yr warranty!!!

"A space saving, energy efficient oven for your countertop." 2009-07-04
By Mrs. Laura M. Gibson (Mansfield, OH)
I got rid of my microwave back in 2004 because I would rather cook food fresh and I wanted to save some counter space. Over the years, I would waste a lot of energy heating up an entire oven to cook 10 chicken nuggets or heating up leftovers. I wanted something that cooks like an oven but used less energy. If this is what you are looking for, this is the perfect product for you. I got it for Christmas in 2008 and I have been using it everyday since. Actually, I can't remember the last time I used my regular oven. I am a married with two children and attend college full time. This product makes cooking healthy meals more convenient and more efficent. It cooks the food evenly and one third quicker than a regular oven. I love it, and like my dishwasher, I cannot imagine my life without it! This is a great way to use less energy, while still having the benefits of a real oven. Great for people living in limited space, or are wanting to live a "greener lifestyle".

 "no off switch" 2009-06-17

I have had this product for perhaps a year. It is not equipped with an off/on switch, only a dial timer. This timer has now broken - what a waste of my money.

"Great on the store shelf, Crapy from the box" 2009-05-04
By G. Pedroni (Bensenville, il United States)
The wife and I were looking for a nice toaster oven. We love KitchenAid for their quality products and at costco had the choice of this model or an oster for half the price. on the shelf they both looked great, but the kitchenaid stood out by far, so we went with the name. Poor choice on our part. Brought it home took it out of the box to start using it. There was rust on the inside where the door panel shuts. The glass door had some kind of white chemical on it as if it was clean or attempted to be cleaned.the inside near the door area just looked as if it was burned out. the left side of the outer housing had speckles of what seemed to be paint. The box was brand new sealed no evidence of being tampered.

All in all a massive turn off from the get go. After reading reviews on many sites it seems this isn't a good buy so we went for the oster instead. I would think twice about getting other kitchen aid stuff based on this buy. But I am extremely happy with their mixers
