 "great for baking" 2009-07-24

if you like making pan pizza from scratch, this is great. Also great for calzoni, stromboli, breakfast burritos, etc. If you are an inventive person, you'll find no end to cool things to try with this oven. Just make some dough in your bread machine, stuff it with left overs and Ragu sauce, and in 25 minutes you'll be wandering the back streets of Napoli. Wally sells 5 dollar teflon pans that fit perfectly,..you can get two of them in the oven at the same time. Say, baked potatoes on top, lasagna casserole on the bottom?

one thing I really like: no digital controls! my 1000 dollar whirlpool home oven is like programming the space shuttle, no one uses it, except for holiday turkeys.

 "No Customer Service" 2009-07-06

If you are looking for a disposable product go with EuroPro. I purchased a EuroPro product. It broke and discovered that their customer service is non-existent. The e-mail address they provide results in an automatic reply directing you to an 800 number which rings and rings, several touch tone prompts later you end up with an outsourced rep who is servicing many companies and has no clue about your product. Don't waste your time.

 "Lasted 1 year + 1 week" 2009-05-04

Baked adequately, but died less than 13 months after we bought it. Timer knob completely failed, and it cost more to fix than to replace. I'll never buy this brand again.

"It crumbled in our hands..." 2009-05-03
By DJ Tiff (So Cali)
This toaster oven is not easy to clean, cooks fine, but not even a month after I purchased it, all three knobs fell into pieces. Since then, we've had to use knives and pliers to turn the metal rods on a BRAND NEW toaster oven, and have no idea where on earth we're turning them to. Long story short, I just ordered a Cuisinart.

"was ok while it lasted" 2009-03-03
By But, it's a humid heat/dry cold (Northern, IN)
I bought this oven 3 days ago, and used it 3 times, then the bottom plastic timer knob broke. It could still be used with a screwdriver in the slot where the knob was supposed to fit, but that didn't seem reasonable after 3 days of use.

The convection fan altered on and off, but I think it was supposed to do that. It would kick on/off when I turned the temp up or down. I did like the enclosed heating elements on the top and bottom. I looked at the B&D and visioned crumbs and cheese dripping on the little slots covering the elements and becoming a battleground of left over food growth vs burning off in a smokey curling puff of fumes. I never got to 'toast' but I didn't want one for that use. I just wanted to make some tater tots, roast veggies, grill salmon, bake a frozen pizza, and top off mac and cheese w/o using the big oven. I liked the black outer shell. It looked easier to keep clean than stainless steel. The handle was well placed, but shiny plastic. I returned it and bought an Oster convection (with stainless shell) b/c the only other in store choices did not hold a 12" pizza. I hope it lasts more than 3 days.
