This thing is exceedingly slow in toasting. It takes approximately 8 minutes to toast 1 slice of bread. It toasts and cooks unevenly, everything is darker on the bottom than the top.

This toaster oven offers toasting, broiling, baking, and convection oven -- a nice array. The control dials are comfortable to work with [function, temperature, and timer]. Nothing happens until the timer is set. It seems accurate. Pan and rack cleaned up easily. A surprise was the requirement to have 6" air space on all sides, including rear, of the oven. That uses more counter space. But it's necessary because the rear gets hot too. A negative factor: the instruction book does not offer much help...no suggestions ... no recipes to give an idea about cooking times & procedures.

I have been looking for a new toaster oven for a long time now. I spent hours, on various sites including Amazon, reading reviews. I don't recall this toaster oven (pictured above - Oster with brushed stainless steel and manual knobs) on Amazon at the time I looked and could not find one I liked. I ended up finding this one at Target for about $50.00 on sale. I took a chance and bought it. What a deal. I have used toaster ovens for the last 15 years (I don't own a microwave) and this one is my favorite. It is not too big and not too small. A pizza does fit. Many of my regular baking pans fit. The confection feature makes things heat faster. The best part is that it does not get crazy hot like some reviews on other toaster ovens mentions. IT DOES GET VERY VERY HOT, but all toaster ovens do, as far as I know. But this one is not going to melt your painted cabinets - and mine are somewhat close to the oven. I am very happy and think it is a good buy. Note: I don't use it for toast.

This is much larger than our last oven. It can bake a 10 inch pizza. But, watch out, it can burn easily! The oven gets very hot. Still trying to adjust to how the oven works. Our favorite feature is the automatic off. We paid $49.99.
4/11/09 Just wanted to mention one more great feature of this oven. The inside lights up when you pull the door open. But, the door is not attached to the rack like my old one, so the rack does not pull out when you open the door. You will need oven mitts to pull the rack out when it is hot.

This is a wonderful item to have in your kitchen. There is only a couple of suggestions that I would like to submit.
1. This item does't have any way to let you know when it is preheated.
2. I have checked my oven with three temperture gauges and have found that the oven is 15 degrees higher than what it is set for.
3. This oven saves time, I can usually have what I cook done by the time that it would take my big oven on my stove to preheat.
